Zbyszko Oborski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mats Eie's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the game, Oplö's Carl Nyheim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbyszko Oborski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 8th minute Carl Nyheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Oborski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Kielland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. William Bratberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Nyheim in the 15th minute of play forced TsF Rognan's goalkeeper Zbyszko Oborski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TsF Rognan were furious when Eilif Fjeldberg was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Oplö booed when TsF Rognan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Aagesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. TsF Rognan's Zbyszko Oborski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Eie in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Oplö's Runar Kvalsund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. But to his dismay, Carl Nyheim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jarle Skaar hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Alan Aagesen came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the TsF Rognan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Aagesen couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bent Skagen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving William Bratberg. That made the score 1-3 in the 43 minute of play. After the first half Oplö were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Frederick Velkeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TsF Rognan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederick Velkeneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. TsF Rognan's Zbyszko Oborski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save TsF Rognan from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederick Velkeneers during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frederick Velkeneers hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Bent Skagen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Bratberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Oplö's zone, Johannes Norman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Bratberg came out of the goal and Johannes Norman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bent Skagen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Aagesen struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. William Bratberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TsF Rognan. Frederick Velkeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. William Bratberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Frederick Velkeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot. TsF Rognan's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederick Velkeneers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Bratberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zbyszko Oborski made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Bjørnar Lausund sent off a good shot on target.
