Ronald Struik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ryan Eringa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronald Struik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Folkert Carels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Siebum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastiaan Plaggenborg in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Amstelveen HC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Wilfried Groten hit a great ball. Philip Roewen charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Roewen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, GreenHampton FC's Philip Roewen got a free kick in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Ryan Eringa could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Folkert Carels however easily saved by the left post. Ryan Eringa in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Folkert Carels, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 31 minutes into the match, Jhon Bruinsma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Siebum. Amstelveen HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jhon Bruinsma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in GreenHampton FC's zone, Ryan Eringa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folkert Carels came out of the goal and Ryan Eringa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GreenHampton FC's Folkert Carels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert van Rijswijk in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind GreenHampton FC's goalkeeper Folkert Carels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sebastiaan Plaggenborg managed to get in a good position for a shot. GreenHampton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastiaan Plaggenborg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Siebum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronald Struik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronald Struik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folkert Carels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, GreenHampton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Struik came free, but Folkert Carels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Gert van Rijswijk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Folkert Carels was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronald Struik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Carels having to interfere. If Sebastiaan Plaggenborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind GreenHampton FC's goalkeeper Folkert Carels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Ronald Struik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amstelveen HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Struik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of GreenHampton FC booed when Amstelveen HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert van Rijswijk didn't get a good kick on the ball.
