Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5544, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serge Donderwinkel got the match started through his kick off. Giel Tinge charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giel Tinge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 7 minutes into the match, Fabiën Som had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirk Haremeijer. Boevenheuvel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiën Som was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nick Schokkenbroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge Donderwinkel in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Boevenheuvel got a corner. Den Haag Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roeland Zandstra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Boevenheuvel's Roeland Zandstra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nick Schokkenbroek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Den Haag Academy's Fabiën Som got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, Den Haag Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Witting to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Roeland Zandstra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nick Schokkenbroek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Den Haag Academy's Pepijn Dekens made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk Haremeijer was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepijn Dekens in the 41st minute of play forced Boevenheuvel's goalkeeper Dirk Haremeijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiën Som recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepijn Dekens to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiën Som got free with Dirk Haremeijer in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dirk Haremeijer made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Fabiën Som sent off a good shot on target. Elmar Witting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Haremeijer having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Serge Donderwinkel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boevenheuvel's supporters rose to their feet, but Serge Donderwinkel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nick Schokkenbroek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pepijn Dekens might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk Haremeijer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pepijn Dekens ran back to his position shaking his head. Pepijn Dekens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dirk Haremeijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert de Swart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nick Schokkenbroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Pepijn Dekens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabiën Som recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Den Haag Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boevenheuvel.
