After some careless play in the Heemskerk CF defense, Twan van Zonderen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Ebbinge. The Heemskerk CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Ebbinge should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Martien Vaalman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alwin Scholte. That made the score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. A hard shot 20 in the game by Martien Vaalman from a close distance when the talented Alwin Scholte managed to make a qualified save. Goes's players were relieved. Kristof de Zeeuw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wouter Brinks fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goes's protests and gave Wouter Brinks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Goes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wouter Brinks to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Heemskerk CF's goal looked a bit too open when Twan van Zonderen came free, but Anton Ebbinge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Heemskerk CF booed when Goes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinier Arts didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Martien Vaalman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alwin Scholte was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When Dirk de Graaf came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Heemskerk CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk de Graaf couldn't finish the play.

In the 86th minute of the match Dirk de Graaf shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alwin Scholte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Martien Vaalman put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alwin Scholte. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Heemskerk CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Goes:s goal. Heemskerk CF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
