The audience thought a goal was coming when Lex Maurits got free with Christer Ålberg in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 17 minutes, Henk Koerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hardingsveld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henk Koerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Demy Wijk kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Lex Maurits's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Christer Ålberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 23 minutes of play, Hardingsveld's Lex Maurits made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christer Ålberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Toni Hendriks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Florian de Jager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henny Platvoet charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henny Platvoet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Henny Platvoet hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Toni Hendriks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th match minute, Hardingsveld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henny Platvoet to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christiaan van Steensel was the one to do the kick off. Arjen Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Edgar Ros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lex Maurits in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christer Ålberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Toni Hendriks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 73rdth minute of the game Lex Maurits who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kamperveen V.V.'s Christer Ålberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christer Ålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Ros in the 78th minute of play. Toni Hendriks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian de Jager read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 90 minutes in the game, Toni Hendriks fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Florian de Jager having to interfere. Florian de Jager didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Henk Koerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Ålberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lex Maurits's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When Ricky Lute fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kamperveen V.V.'s protests and gave Ricky Lute a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes Kamperveen V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Lute. The Kamperveen V.V. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hardingsveld from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
