With a couple of smart ball manuevers Folkert Roodenburg in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klaas van Zijderveld saved Inter Traaie from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Inter Traaie's Daniel Brinks got a free kick in the 39th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Folkert Roodenburg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Klaas van Zijderveld to make any attempt to save it. Inter Traaie's Klaas van Zijderveld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thijs Geerdink in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Fabian Mols made the kick off in the second half. If Folkert Roodenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thijs Geerdink lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Inter Traaie booed when Breuken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Geerdink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaas van Zijderveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folkert Roodenburg in the 71st minute of the match. Ferry Lamberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
