If Pierre van der Schaaf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Sebastiaan Anneese mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Terhofstede HC and the Bleiswijk United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Terhofstede HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastiaan Anneese to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Pierre van der Schaaf could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Henry Kiewit however easily saved by the left post. In the 47th minute, Bert Pietersma made a precise shot to the right of Pierre Zuid. Bleiswijk United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Terhofstede HC's Henry Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre van der Schaaf in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Bleiswijk United's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastiaan Anneese came free, but Pierre Zuid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bleiswijk United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
