Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Derk Geurtsen made the kick off which started today's match. When Derk Geurtsen came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Genius TT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derk Geurtsen couldn't finish the play. Max Hoogendorp kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Derk Geurtsen took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdi Zuiverloon. Ferdi Zuiverloon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Derk Geurtsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Derk Geurtsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Genius TT's Ronny Wegman got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 32nd minute, one of Genius TT:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Genius TT. Huub Sijmonds placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a rather tough play, Genius TT's Sabino Malla got a free kick in the 36th minute. Ferdi Zuiverloon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derk Geurtsen in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Genius TT's Dolf van Wonderen got control of the ball when Daniel Weken tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Genius TT's Derk Geurtsen in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C. SaMBaS's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jim Lammens made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Genius TT's zone, Daniel Weken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dolf van Wonderen came out of the goal and Daniel Weken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Derk Geurtsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derk Geurtsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdi Zuiverloon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes S.C. SaMBaS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Derk Geurtsen who took care of the corner kick. Genius TT's Dolf van Wonderen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Lammens in the 58th minute of play. Derk Geurtsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ferdi Zuiverloon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elazar Mac Donald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ferdi Zuiverloon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Genius TT's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Lammens came free, but Dolf van Wonderen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derk Geurtsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdi Zuiverloon having to interfere. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. SaMBaS's goalkeeper Ferdi Zuiverloon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 82 minutes, Derk Geurtsen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. S.C. SaMBaS's Ferdi Zuiverloon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sabino Malla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdi Zuiverloon having to make a save. Derk Geurtsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdi Zuiverloon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derk Geurtsen ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of S.C. SaMBaS booed when Genius TT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elazar Mac Donald didn't get a good kick on the ball.
