Meindert Bruinsma kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, FC Cityside's Cafu Prado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gio Blommaart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gio Blommaart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wu Bin Yao's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Cafu Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gio Blommaart was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Niels van Zomeren helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cityside's zone, Niels van Zomeren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Galvão came out of the goal and Niels van Zomeren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Cityside's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
