Brommelen's Jan-Peter Heijen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijs Wegman in the 5th minute of play. If Mario Hoffhuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Brommelen's goal looked a bit too open when Gijs Wegman came free, but Jan-Peter Heijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijs Wegman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pimpelmee SV's Roel Hesseling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerrit Hateboer in the 19th minute of play. Mario Hoffhuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jan-Peter Heijen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Hoffhuis scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Peter Heijen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marinus Mensing's late challenge caught a Brommelen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marinus Mensing helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Pimpelmee SV got a freekick which was hit by Marinus Mensing. Pimpelmee SV's Roel Hesseling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jef Roetering in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Mario Hoffhuis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pimpelmee SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Hoffhuis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Peter Heijen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pimpelmee SV's zone, Gerrit Hateboer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roel Hesseling came out of the goal and Gerrit Hateboer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jef Roetering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roel Hesseling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jef Roetering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Hoffhuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Peter Heijen having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijs Wegman was the one to do the kick off. Roel Hesseling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jef Roetering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jef Roetering struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Roel Hesseling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brommelen. If Jef Roetering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roel Hesseling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerrit Hateboer in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Brommelen's goal looked a bit too open when Gijs Wegman came free, but Jan-Peter Heijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Hoffhuis charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Hoffhuis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Mario Hoffhuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 77 minutes, Mario Hoffhuis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pimpelmee SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Hoffhuis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gijs Wegman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijs Wegman in the 83rd minute of play forced Brommelen's goalkeeper Jan-Peter Heijen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Spiljard charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Spiljard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pimpelmee SV booed when Brommelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Spiljard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Brommelen's goal looked a bit too open when Gerjan van Zalen came free, but Jan-Peter Heijen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jef Roetering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Pimpelmee SV getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gerjan van Zalen hit a great ball. Roel Hesseling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jef Roetering in the 93rd minute of play. Brommelen's Jef Roetering got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brommelen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pimpelmee SV.
