Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Erhabor Wadada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Erhabor Wadada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Azuka Obasa in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Azuka Obasa got free with Erhabor Wadada in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sutton Valence's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hellfire FC the free kick. Ogbonnaya Koko's late challenge caught a Hellfire FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ogbonnaya Koko helped the player get up and apologised. Ogbonnaya Koko hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osi Hamma in the 33rd minute of play forced Sutton Valence's goalkeeper Ajuluchukwu Gulma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Comfort Ogbeche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erhabor Wadada made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gorom Ndupuechi sent off a good shot on target. Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Hellfire FC from getting a goal against them. Dilibe Owomoyela kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nwachukwu Onyeomereneche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Dilibe Owomoyela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Nwachukwu Onyeomereneche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erhabor Wadada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorom Ndupuechi in the 55th minute of play. Erhabor Wadada came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton Valence's Azuka Obasa. But to his dismay, Azuka Obasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 62nd match minute, Hellfire FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ayila Adeeko to maneuver through the defense. Erhabor Wadada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nwachukwu Onyeomereneche in the 63rd minute of play. When Nonye Sasore came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sutton Valence fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nonye Sasore couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Azuka Obasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nwachukwu Onyeomereneche in the 80th minute of play forced Hellfire FC's goalkeeper Erhabor Wadada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sutton Valence fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hellfire FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
