Martin Dougall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaac Saguna went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Samuel Bajo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Martin Dougall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templars FC. With a little luck, Templars FC's Angelo Arapa got control of the ball when Karl Cortis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anthony Camilleri Parlato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Martin Dougall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Daniel Bondin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cottonera Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Bondin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Arapa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isaac Saguna's late challenge caught a Cottonera Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Saguna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cottonera Corinthians booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Saguna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Templars FC's Angelo Arapa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Templars FC from getting a goal against them. Isaac Saguna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Martin Dougall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samuel Bajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Dougall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Saguna in the 46th minute of the match.

Angelo Arapa came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Cottonera Corinthians's Daniel Bondin. But to his dismay, Daniel Bondin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Karl Cortis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Angelo Arapa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Dougall made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Isaac Saguna sent off a good shot on target. Isaac Saguna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Dougall having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match, Samuel Bajo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martin Dougall saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Bajo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Dougall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Bondin in the 74th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Angelo Arapa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Anthony Camilleri Parlato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cottonera Corinthians the free kick. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Anthony Camilleri Parlato got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Neil Polidano hit a great ball. In the 78th minute of the match Charles Gabarretta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Arapa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Samuel Bajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Neil Polidano got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Charles Gabarretta hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Isaac Saguna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Martin Dougall made a huge save. Daniel Bondin scored 2-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Arapa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Templars FC's Angelo Arapa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Cortis in the 93rd minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Samuel Bajo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cottonera Corinthians's Martin Dougall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cottonera Corinthians's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
