Luqa SA's Stephen Cassar Overend got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, OUT LIGHT's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Cassar Overend came free, but Robbie Cassar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Alessio Vassallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephen Cassar Overend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Robbie Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luqa SA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Alessio Vassallo scored to the left of an out of position Martin Bonello, making the score, 1-0. In the 24th minute, Kyle Alamango left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luqa SA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alessio Vassallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Martin Bonello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Matteo Rolè had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matteo Rolè sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Cassar Overend in the 42nd minute of play forced OUT LIGHT's goalkeeper Robbie Cassar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Cassar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Alamango in the 43rd minute of the match. Stephen Cassar Overend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Cassar having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Luqa SA's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Vassallo came free, but Martin Bonello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessio Vassallo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robbie Cassar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Alamango, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Luqa SA's Kyle Alamango dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Kyle Alamango received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robbie Cassar came out and tried to block the shot, but Kyle Alamango slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 62nd minute. Luqa SA's Gregory Grech Cumbo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Robbie Cassar but with some difficulty. Luqa SA's Stephen Cassar Overend got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Luqa SA's Stephen Cassar Overend sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robbie Cassar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kyle Alamango who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Robbie Cassar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Matteo Rolè hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, OUT LIGHT's goalkeeper Robbie Cassar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stephen Cassar Overend. Stephen Cassar Overend sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, OUT LIGHT's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Alamango came free, but Robbie Cassar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luqa SA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
