George Demanuele came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Tarġa Gap's Nicholas Biasini. But to his dismay, Nicholas Biasini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edward Francalanza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol having to interfere. Martin Cassar's late challenge caught a Sportaholic Bugibba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Cassar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Tarġa Gap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Cassar to maneuver through the defense. George Demanuele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Galea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Isaac Galea came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Tarġa Gap fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Galea couldn't finish the play. When Nicholas Biasini came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Tarġa Gap fans jumped to their feet. Isaac Galea might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Demanuele. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Galea ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicholas Biasini in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Demanuele saved Sportaholic Bugibba from getting behind. Nicholas Biasini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Demanuele having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Isaac Galea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarġa Gap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Galea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. George Demanuele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicholas Biasini's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Edward Francalanza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol made a huge save. After the first half Tarġa Gap were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicholas Biasini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nicholas Biasini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Valletta's late challenge caught a Tarġa Gap's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Valletta helped the player get up and apologised. George Valletta kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Tarġa Gap's Isaac Chircop couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sportaholic Bugibba. In the 58thth minute of the game Fabio Marmara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarġa Gap's Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Raphael Clews shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Tarġa Gap booed when Sportaholic Bugibba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Testaferrata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurgen Quintano hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Nicholas Biasini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. George Demanuele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christopher Dalli kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sportaholic Bugibba's George Demanuele got control of the ball when Isaac Galea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute Fabio Marmara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Galea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. George Demanuele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Demanuele was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicholas Biasini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 82 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tarġa Gap's Stanley Hamilton got a free kick in the 88th minute. Christopher Dalli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol. Tarġa Gap's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jurgen Quintano during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tarġa Gap booed when Sportaholic Bugibba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurgen Quintano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Biasini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tarġa Gap played a much better game than Sportaholic Bugibba and deserved their victory. The Sportaholic Bugibba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
