Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Herbert Cornelisse made the kick off and thus started the match. Shaun Christophoro made in the 5th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Herbert Cornelisse. In the 12th play minute Neil Spina came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tyrone Terribile. 1-0. A collision led to San Ġiljan getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Neil Spina hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Cornelisse in the 21st minute of play forced Skull Tower MFC's goalkeeper Tyrone Terribile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skull Tower MFC's Tyrone Terribile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Cornelisse in the 28th minute of play. Skull Tower MFC's James Ebejer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Karistu Magrino, made in the 35th minute of the game. If Thomas Deguara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Ebejer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Skull Tower MFC booed when San Ġiljan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karistu Magrino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Noel Avellino notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of San Ġiljan's Eugenio Cardona. Eugenio Cardona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Skull Tower MFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Herbert Cornelisse scored to the left of an out of position Tyrone Terribile, making the score, 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Avellino made a kick off. In the 56th minute Herbert Cornelisse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Terribile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyrone Terribile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Spina in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, one of Skull Tower MFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skull Tower MFC. Edward Gabriele walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 63rd minute Thomas Deguara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Cardona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Cardona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Avellino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregory Cassar Naudi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Roberto Sammut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Ebejer got free with Eugenio Cardona in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noel Avellino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eugenio Cardona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Terribile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Cornelisse, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Kenneth Mallia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skull Tower MFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Mallia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Cardona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ranier Thake charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ranier Thake the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ranier Thake hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, San Ġiljan could leave the field as winners, despite Skull Tower MFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
