In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Venera's goalkeeper Ashley Domancich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciro Tieri might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashley Domancich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Tieri ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgar Sigfridsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ashley Domancich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Tieri in the 17th minute of the match. Edgar Sigfridsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Ciro Tieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ashley Domancich. Santa Venera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Tieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Venera's goalkeeper Ashley Domancich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Santa Venera's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Poncio came free, but Ashley Domancich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ashley Domancich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Poncio went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ponticella Stars's Baldomiro Poncio got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Ciro Tieri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Domancich was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Baldomiro Poncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Tieri might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashley Domancich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Tieri ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Ponticella Stars were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baldomiro Poncio to strike the kick off in the second half. Ashley Domancich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Tieri in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Baldomiro Poncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ashley Domancich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ashley Domancich made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ciro Tieri sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Venera's zone, Baldomiro Poncio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashley Domancich came out of the goal and Baldomiro Poncio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Baldomiro Poncio came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Ponticella Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Poncio couldn't finish the play. When Claudio Sant Manduca fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Venera's protests and gave Claudio Sant Manduca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Claudio Sant Manduca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Baldomiro Poncio took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Ashley Domancich to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute, Ciro Tieri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Domancich was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Ciro Tieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ashley Domancich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, David Camenzuli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Domancich was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Ponticella Stars left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santa Venera.
