When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Banter FC's Peter Paul Preca got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Everardo Pasqual. Peter Paul Preca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Everardo Pasqual when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 12 played minutes Norrlands Guld got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Musu. A throw-in in the 15th minute of the game was made by Martin Conti with Clyde De Giovanni as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 17th minute, Mark Fenech Adami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everardo Pasqual made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Peter Paul Testa sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Peter Paul Testa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banter FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
