Siggiewi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evan Gafà was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Evan Gafà fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gianluca Stellini, passed just outside the right post. Siggiewi FC's Adam Debono got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Qala St. Joseph's Keith Cumbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Debono in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evan Gafà in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gianluca Stellini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Charlo Depasquale made a precise shot to the right of Gianluca Stellini. Siggiewi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Qala St. Joseph's Keith Cumbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Debono in the 34th minute of play. If Charlo Depasquale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Debono kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Alex Ghigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gianluca Stellini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gianluca Stellini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Gafà, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qala St. Joseph's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alex Ghigo in the 63rd minute. After taking down the ball on Qala St. Joseph's corner Alex Ghigo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gianluca Stellini quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Siggiewi FC defense, Mario Borg Xuereb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gianluca Stellini. The Siggiewi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gianluca Stellini should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Qala St. Joseph fully deserved thier win.
