Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Jake Stivala notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca. Juan Duca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Stivala in the 8th minute of play forced Gharb Rangers's goalkeeper Juan Duca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Duca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoine Muscat, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute Marco Cini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Duca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alan Satariano fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gharb Rangers's protests and gave Alan Satariano a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Cini might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Duca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Cini ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Duca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cini in the 24th minute of play. Jonathan Scriha charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Scriha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ad Astra booed when Gharb Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Scriha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Teuma Castelletti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ryan Xiberras made a huge save. After some careless play in the Gharb Rangers defense, Jake Stivala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Duca. The Gharb Rangers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Duca should have stopped the shot. If Roderick Scalpello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jake Stivala took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Duca. Juan Duca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Stivala in the 43rd minute of play. The Gharb Rangers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ad Astra were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Jake Stivala made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ad Astra's Antoine Muscat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Duca. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. After 63 minutes of play Gharb Rangers's Alan Satariano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 64 played minutes Gharb Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Alan Satariano. Juan Duca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Cini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Juan Duca managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Ad Astra's Jake Stivala fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Callus during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ad Astra booed when Gharb Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Callus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jake Stivala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Duca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Tim Callus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Duca made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jake Stivala sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Cini in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Duca saved Gharb Rangers from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Jake Stivala dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Duca, 0-6. Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick Scalpello in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Antoine Muscat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Duca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Marco Cini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan Duca. The goal made the score 0-7.
