In the 8th minute, Jason Schembri Zerafa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jason Schembri Zerafa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maleth F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Schembri Zerafa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clayvon Gatt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Għaxaq St Paul's Clayvon Gatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Schembri Zerafa in the 14th minute of play. If Tyrone Tabone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrizio Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute, Tyrone Tabone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tyrone Tabone in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayvon Gatt saved Għaxaq St Paul from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Harmsworth got free with Frederick Pulè in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabrizio Hamilton might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clayvon Gatt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabrizio Hamilton ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Fabrizio Hamilton notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Għaxaq St Paul's Clayvon Gatt. Clayvon Gatt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute Botond Petres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayvon Gatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

After a rather tough play, Għaxaq St Paul's Lauro Meli Bugeja got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Clayvon Gatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruhut Tutuarima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clayvon Gatt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jason Schembri Zerafa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 64 minute of play. Lauro Meli Bugeja's late challenge caught a Maleth F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Meli Bugeja helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Għaxaq St Paul got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Meli Bugeja. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrizio Hamilton got free with Clayvon Gatt in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro Meli Bugeja hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Maleth F.C.'s Tyrone Tabone was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some careless play in the Għaxaq St Paul defense, Botond Petres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clayvon Gatt. The Għaxaq St Paul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clayvon Gatt should have stopped the shot. When %teams%'s Tyrone Tabone was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-13 just inside the left pole, 82 minutes into the game. Clayvon Gatt was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Ruhut Tutuarima recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Clayvon Gatt. Ruhut Tutuarima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. Tyrone Tabone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clayvon Gatt stood somewhat misplaced when Tyrone Tabone came free in front of goal and shot 0-15 to the left of him in the 92 minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Tyrone Tabone put it in 0-16 from a short distance just to the right of Clayvon Gatt. When the final whistle sounded Maleth F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Għaxaq St Paul.
