Gareth Hewitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gareth Hewitt made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Real Sociedad de Fútbol's Terry Traube nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stan Dixon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gareth Hewitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Hausemer having to interfere. Stan Dixon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Walch, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Terry Traube got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Hausemer was a little too slow when Lucas Hitchcock got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 72ndth minute of the game Gareth Hewitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Sociedad de Fútbol's Denis Hausemer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lazlo Schlaustein's late challenge caught a Wombwell City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lazlo Schlaustein helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Real Sociedad de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazlo Schlaustein to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Lenny Behringer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Lucas Hitchcock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Hausemer. Real Sociedad de Fútbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Hitchcock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Real Sociedad de Fútbol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wombwell City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
