Vincente Vazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Reichlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Wootton Bassett City's Noah Amadeo Bürzle got a free kick in the 7th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Nigg Ammann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mauren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nigg Ammann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Batliner got free with Christopher Burgmeier in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mauren getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Philip Rehak hit a great ball. Antoni Thöny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Christopher Burgmeier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antoni Thöny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Burgmeier having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Wootton Bassett City's Christopher Burgmeier threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victor Frick, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victor Frick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Burgmeier having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Thomas Batliner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wootton Bassett City's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Batliner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Burgmeier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredi Schädler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Batliner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Burgmeier having to interfere. Antoni Thöny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wolf Reichlin made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Antoni Thöny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wootton Bassett City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antoni Thöny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Wootton Bassett City's Thomas Batliner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christopher Burgmeier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Franz-Josef Jopek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Mauren. Nigg Ammann stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vincente Vazquez. 2-1. Mauren's Christopher Burgmeier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Thöny in the 66th minute of play. Antoni Thöny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Burgmeier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Christopher Burgmeier came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Wootton Bassett City's Victor Frick. But to his dismay, Victor Frick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Fredi Schädler charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredi Schädler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Wootton Bassett City's Fredi Schädler got a free kick in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Wootton Bassett City's Vincente Vazquez got control of the ball when Franz-Josef Jopek tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Zurflüh in the 80th minute of play forced Mauren's goalkeeper Christopher Burgmeier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Philip Rehak in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Wootton Bassett City's Antonio Zurflüh. When Wootton Bassett City's Victor Frick in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mauren's goalie prevented a goal. If Victor Frick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Mauren's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Frick came free, but Christopher Burgmeier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredi Schädler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher Burgmeier having to make a save. Anton Loose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Christopher Burgmeier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wootton Bassett City had played much better football throughout.
