The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Real Caio F.C's Arturo Buffone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Cesarini in the 6th minute of play. If Amos Cesarini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulvio Magliocco kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Enrico Soccio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amos Gualtieri. Aranova's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amos Gualtieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Marchetti in the 17th minute of play. Amos Gualtieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Barbato in the 23rd minute of the match. Domenico Ricci's late challenge caught a Aranova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domenico Ricci helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Caio F.C's Domenico Ricci got a free kick in the 26th minute. Fedele Briganti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Domenico Ricci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Baldassarre charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Baldassarre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Real Caio F.C's Armando Marchetti in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aranova's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Marchetti in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amos Gualtieri saved Aranova from getting behind. If Emiliano Barbato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Armando Marchetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amos Gualtieri. Aranova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Marchetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 44 played minutes Real Caio F.C got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Ricci. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Emiliano Barbato struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Amos Gualtieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Caio F.C. Diego Baldassarre hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Aranova's goalkeeper Amos Gualtieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aranova's Amos Gualtieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Marchetti in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Emiliano Barbato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emiliano Barbato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Amos Gualtieri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Emiliano Barbato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Real Caio F.C's Armando Marchetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amos Gualtieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Emiliano Barbato blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amos Gualtieri having to make a save. Florian Pietrangelo's late challenge caught a Real Caio F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Pietrangelo helped the player get up and apologised. Amos Gualtieri didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Amos Gualtieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Marchetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Marchetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amos Gualtieri having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real Caio F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
