In the 5th minute Fortunato Tuzzolino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Del Duca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Passirana AFC's Diego Salerno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Del Duca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amos Genta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes Passirana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carter Pietropaolo. 20 minutes into the match, Amos Genta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Passirana AFC's Fabio Cusumano. Fabio Cusumano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabio Cusumano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Catini in the 39th minute of play forced Recetto's goalkeeper Bruno Del Duca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recetto's Claudio Tassotti got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Salerno to make the kick off. Claudio Tassotti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Cusumano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Passirana AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Cusumano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Tassotti. Passirana AFC's Fabio Cusumano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Genta in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Passirana AFC's Franco Maccioni got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Passirana AFC's Diego Salerno in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
