When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Alberigo Rotondi put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Damiano De Rossi. Carlo Bozzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Damiano De Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Casine's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Rotondi came free, but Damiano De Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano De Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Rotondi in the 20th minute of play. When Ciccio Barresi came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Casine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciccio Barresi couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Alberigo Rotondi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano De Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Bozzo got free with Damiano De Rossi in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alberigo Rotondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberigo Preda kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Casine's Dave Cardella got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciccio Barresi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Amos Marsilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casine. Dave Cardella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Amos Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Cardella to make the kick off. Patagonia FC's Carlo Bozzo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberigo Rotondi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Casine's zone, Alberigo Rotondi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano De Rossi came out of the goal and Alberigo Rotondi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dave Cardella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Amos Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberigo Preda during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Casine getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alberigo Preda hit a great ball. Damiano De Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Rotondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Alberigo Preda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Preda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dave Cardella came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Casine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Cardella couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patagonia FC's goalkeeper Amos Marsilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberigo Preda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amos Marsilio having to make a save. Patagonia FC's Amos Marsilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Patagonia FC from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the match, Casine's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Rotondi came free, but Damiano De Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Patagonia FC could leave the field as winners, despite Casine having more of the ball for most of the match.
