Donato Greco missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 12 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alfonso Minichiello right hand side. Concetto Borgatello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Attilio Persichetti came out and tried to block the shot, but Concetto Borgatello slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. Maruggio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Davide Sangermano scored to the left of an out of position Attilio Persichetti, making the score, 3-0. Emanuele Melucci hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Fortunato Ascoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rdth minute of the game Arrigo Petrosino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tettenham's Alfonso Minichiello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arrigo Petrosino in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Minichiello saved Tettenham from getting behind. If Fortunato Ascoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Maruggio's Arrigo Petrosino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Minichiello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Arrigo Petrosino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maruggio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 47 minutes into the match, Tettenham's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Petrosino came free, but Alfonso Minichiello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arrigo Petrosino was the one to do the kick off. Arrigo Petrosino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Minichiello having to interfere. Arrigo Petrosino struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Alfonso Minichiello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maruggio.
