After recieving a nice pass, Voghenza's Beppe Di Tommaso tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alfredo Moretta might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Venditti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 41stth minute of the game Adriano Palumbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voghenza's Fedele Sardella was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Rolo booed when Voghenza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Di Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Voghenza's Fausto Gaeta got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Fausto Gaeta off the ground. After 86 played minutes Voghenza got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Gaeta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Palumbo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Sardella saved Voghenza from getting behind. Alfredo Moretta might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Venditti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 93rd minute Adriano Palumbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Sardella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
