Antonio Petroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Fausto Proietti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cordino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quattro Castella FC the free kick. After 20 played minutes FC Cordino got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Proietti. In the 29th match minute, Quattro Castella FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio De Tommasi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Fulvio De Tommasi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Petroni. In the 38th minute, Fulvio De Tommasi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quattro Castella FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Antonio Petroni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulvio De Tommasi's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Edoardo Romano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 50th minute, Cosimo Tiburtini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quattro Castella FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The FC Cordino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Quattro Castella FC were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulvio De Tommasi was the one to do the kick off. Antonio Petroni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulvio De Tommasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 67 minutes, Fulvio De Tommasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quattro Castella FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulvio De Tommasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Cordino defense, Attilio Cannone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Petroni. The FC Cordino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Petroni should have stopped the shot. After having played for 79 minutes, Fulvio De Tommasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quattro Castella FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulvio De Tommasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Antonio Petroni managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Quattro Castella FC's Attilio Cannone fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Antonio Petroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulvio De Tommasi in the 92nd minute of play. Quattro Castella FC's Fulvio De Tommasi got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
