Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eugenio Romano got the match started through his kick off. If Alex Apicella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Margherita's goalkeeper Ermanno Fasciani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Ghetto's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Romano came free, but Franco Amicone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Antonio Renzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghetto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Renzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Renzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alfonso Scevola came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Santa Margherita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Scevola couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Eugenio Romano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ghetto's Franco Amicone. Franco Amicone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franco Amicone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Scevola, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Corrado Berardinelli sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santa Margherita's Ermanno Fasciani didn't even have to move. Franco Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Scevola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ghetto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santa Margherita were winning 0-1.
Ermanno Fasciani came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ghetto's Antonio Renzi. But to his dismay, Antonio Renzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Antonio Renzi made a precise shot to the right of Ermanno Fasciani. Santa Margherita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ermanno Fasciani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Apicella in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ercole Spada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Enzo Palleschi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Ghetto's Alex Apicella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermanno Fasciani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Fabiano Guidoni fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghetto's protests and gave Fabiano Guidoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Fabiano Guidoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Scevola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Scevola succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 96th playminute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
