Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5477, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Ermanno Mannucci started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ermanno Mannucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Giardino having to interfere. In the 10th minute Ermanno Mannucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Giardino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciccio Ricciuti lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 19th minute, one of F.C. Ligabue:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C. Ligabue. F.C. Ligabue:s Arrigo Giardino showed great skill when he stopped Bernardo Pellecchia:s penalty. Bernardo Pellecchia scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arrigo Giardino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfonso Cipollone charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso Cipollone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to F.C. Ligabue getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alfonso Cipollone hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Harpastum FC's Bernardo Pellecchia tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Ligabue's goalkeeper Arrigo Giardino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. F.C. Ligabue's Davide Franceschini got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Cristiano Catini notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of F.C. Ligabue's Arrigo Giardino. Arrigo Giardino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cristiano Catini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davide Franceschini was the one to do the kick off. Arrigo Azzolina charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arrigo Azzolina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, F.C. Ligabue's Arrigo Azzolina got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ermanno Mannucci was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Harpastum FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 56th minute Ermanno Mannucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Giardino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Christian Pugliese fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Christian Pugliese's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Arrigo Giardino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ermanno Mannucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Pugliese's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arrigo Giardino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Ligabue's zone, Ermanno Mannucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Giardino came out of the goal and Ermanno Mannucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Pugliese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ermanno Mannucci was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Harpastum FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. F.C. Ligabue's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ermanno Mannucci 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. After 90 played minutes F.C. Ligabue got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Cipollone. If Ermanno Mannucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arrigo Giardino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Mannucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Harpastum FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
