After 32 minutes, Donato Bulla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the a.c. Milena and the Sucangann players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, a.c. Milena's Donato Bulla got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Fabrizio Diana fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sucangann's protests and gave Fabrizio Diana a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Sucangann got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Diana. Carlo Bardella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Bulla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Amerigo Marzo lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Cosimo Tartaglia. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amerigo Marzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Sucangann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Rava to maneuver through the defense. Sucangann's Carlo Bardella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Leoni in the 71st minute of play. Cosimo Tartaglia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Marzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amerigo Marzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the a.c. Milena defense, Amerigo Marzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosimo Tartaglia. The a.c. Milena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosimo Tartaglia should have stopped the shot. Francesco Coscarella hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Aldo Rava struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Cosimo Tartaglia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sucangann. If Amerigo Marzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosimo Tartaglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Marzo in the 90th minute of play. Carlo Bardella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Leoni in the 96th minute of the match. a.c. Milena's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
