Chiappa AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Della Torre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Vitale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Biagio Piccinini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Del Greco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chiappa AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Comunardo Del Greco should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Della Torre to make the kick off. Biagio Piccinini succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Comunardo Del Greco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Piccinini in the 64th minute of the match.
