Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rivalta's Anfilogino Signori started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberigo Giordano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krzysztof Bronder having to interfere. Achille Chizzo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Alberto Costantino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alberigo Giordano came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Rivalta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Giordano couldn't finish the play. Krzysztof Bronder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Signori, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Eugenio Pozzo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugenio Pozzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Rivalta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Pozzo to maneuver through the defense. Franco Palmucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Costantino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Alberigo Giordano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Krzysztof Bronder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rivalta's Alberigo Giordano got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anfilogino Signori came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Rivalta fans jumped to their feet. Franco Palmucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Biagio Mannucci in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute of the match, Antonello Walcher tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Franco Palmucci saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Anfilogino Signori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Krzysztof Bronder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Giordano in the 36th minute of play. Franco Palmucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Costantino in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Rivalta getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Achille Chizzo hit a great ball. The supporters of Monte Grande FC booed when Rivalta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Bardella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filippo Di Clemente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Franco Palmucci made a huge save. Franco Palmucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Walcher in the 47th minute of play. Achille Chizzo's late challenge caught a Monte Grande FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achille Chizzo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Achille Chizzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rivalta's Franco Palmucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Rivalta from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Costantino made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rivalta's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Costantino came free, but Franco Palmucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Rivalta got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Bardella. If Alberto Costantino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Mannucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Di Clemente in the 61st minute of play forced Rivalta's goalkeeper Franco Palmucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Rivalta's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Di Clemente came free, but Franco Palmucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rivalta's zone, Davide Tocci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Palmucci came out of the goal and Davide Tocci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Krzysztof Bronder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Signori, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Franco Palmucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Walcher in the 74th minute of play. Alberigo Giordano struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Krzysztof Bronder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivalta. Arturo Bardella's late challenge caught a Monte Grande FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Bardella helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rivalta's Arturo Bardella got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Alessandro Leggeri hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alberto Costantino scored 1-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Palmucci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Anfilogino Signori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monte Grande FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
