After a defensive mix-up in Cafaggio's zone, Alex Basso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Furia came out of the goal and Alex Basso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Cristiano Di Tommaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alex Basso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafaggio were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Sabauda FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fulvio Maurizi took the corner. Dino Furia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafaggio's Felice Lucente got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Federico Pantalone kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Felice Lucente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Armando Toschi made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Sabauda FC's Armando Toschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Lucente in the 53rd minute of play. Alex Basso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Dino Furia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Corrado Di Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sabauda FC's Christian Cattaneo got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of Sabauda FC booed when Cafaggio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Scoca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Sabauda FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Sangermano. After having played for 87 minutes, Felice Lucente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cafaggio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felice Lucente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Toschi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felice Lucente, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Federico Pantalone kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Sabauda FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cafaggio had won, even though Sabauda FC had held more of the ball.
