Cantonazzo FC's Dino Scrima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Balboni in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Briganti during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ac Sparta's Dennis Giandomenico got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Alessio Di Mascio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessio Di Mascio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Dennis Di Crescenzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Crispino's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Balboni made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Flavio Crispino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Di Crescenzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 59 minutes of play, Cantonazzo FC's Fausto Di Claudio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Di Crescenzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Giandomenico kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Cantonazzo FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Flavio Crispino hit a great ball. Dennis Di Crescenzo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andrea Di Tommaso. In the 69th match minute, Ac Sparta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Biagio Piretti to maneuver through the defense. Dennis Di Crescenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Altobelli in the 70th minute of play. If Flavio Crispino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Flavio Crispino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Di Crescenzo was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Dino Scrima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Cameli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Crispino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Dennis Di Crescenzo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Cantonazzo FC's Alessio Di Mascio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dennis Di Crescenzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavio Crispino might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Di Crescenzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Ac Sparta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cantonazzo FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
