In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind COSTANZANA's goalkeeper Fausto Zaino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arturo Brandini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edoardo Speranza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. If Ennio Zinni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Zaino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Giansante in the 29th minute of the match. Edoardo Speranza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of COSTANZANA booed when Valtesino United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Giansante didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes COSTANZANA got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Berardi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Giansante in the 39th minute of play forced COSTANZANA's goalkeeper Fausto Zaino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amos Pavlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arturo Brandini made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Giansante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Valtesino United's Flavio Giansante in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arturo Brandini was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Speranza in the 66th minute of play forced Valtesino United's goalkeeper Arturo Brandini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Zaino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Giansante in the 68th minute. Fausto Zaino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Zinni, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Arturo Brandini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Speranza in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Armin Rossi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Fabio Fiori fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valtesino United's protests and gave Fabio Fiori a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Valtesino United's Fabio Fiori got a free kick in the 91st minute. COSTANZANA's Edoardo Speranza got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arturo Brandini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amos Pavlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 98th minute, Amos Pavlu made a precise shot to the right of Arturo Brandini. Valtesino United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Valtesino United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
