In the 17th minute, Comunardo Di Mascio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ferruccio Marconi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manjamester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferruccio Marconi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Biagio Iori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Paglione hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Marconi in the 26th minute of play forced Virgin Lover's goalkeeper Biagio Iori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Di Marzio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Biagio Iori having to make a save. Ferruccio Marconi might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Biagio Iori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manjamester United's Alex Molinaro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Diego Paglione in the 44 minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmine Soccio was the one to do the kick off. Virgin Lover's Diego Paglione got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Diego Paglione off the ground. In the 56th minute, Diego Paglione hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Comunardo Di Mascio charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Comunardo Di Mascio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
