But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea Gelsomini couldn't finish the play. Amos Pavlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Ceci having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in COSTANZANA's zone, Carlo Bianco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Zaino came out of the goal and Carlo Bianco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edoardo Speranza succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Amos Pavlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COSTANZANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amos Pavlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edoardo Speranza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in COSTANZANA's zone, Carlo Bianco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Zaino came out of the goal and Carlo Bianco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Enzo Paris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Ceci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Speranza, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Carlo Bianco kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Amos Pavlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Due Sicilie's Andrea Gelsomini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Zaino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Due Sicilie got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Bianco. In the 39th minute, Carlo Bianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edoardo Speranza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Due Sicilie's Fausto Ceci got control of the ball when Amos Pavlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amos Pavlu took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Ceci. Fausto Ceci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davide Ricciuti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edoardo Speranza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fausto Ceci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amos Pavlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Flavio Epifani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlo Bianco struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Fausto Zaino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Due Sicilie. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Due Sicilie's goalkeeper Fausto Ceci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Davide Ricciuti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Fausto Zaino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carlo Bianco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Zaino was a little too slow when Davide Ricciuti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-1. A collision led to Due Sicilie getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ferdinando Pallotta hit a great ball. Due Sicilie's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
