Ciro Immobile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fedele Di Lorenzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC Acqua Palomba's Ciro Immobile in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Amanda van der Sar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FC Acqua Palomba getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mario Eneko hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Acqua Palomba's Amanda van der Sar got control of the ball when Tommi Lundell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vercelli FC's Marco van Bommel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Roberts in the 40th minute of play. FC Acqua Palomba were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Vercelli FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joachim Roberts took the corner. Emilio Candeloro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 43rd match minute, FC Acqua Palomba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Immobile to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommi Lundell to make the kick off. Marco van Bommel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Vercelli FC defense, Joachim Roberts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco van Bommel. The Vercelli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco van Bommel should have stopped the shot. Marco van Bommel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Immobile showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 76 minute of play. Vercelli FC's Marco van Bommel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Vercelli FC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Ciro Immobile ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco van Bommel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. 97 minutes into the match, Ciro Immobile dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco van Bommel, 1-10. FC Acqua Palomba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
