Arrigo Di Girolamo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 93rd match minute, cotone fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Sivieri to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Gerrit Mortier put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Alessandro Giovannelli. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Roma Capoccia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
