Spectators: 7816 (Terracing: 5864, Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dénes Elek took the kick off in the first half of the match. Boldizsár Gácsi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeromos Bolla in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Dénes Elek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boldizsár Gácsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dénes Elek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boldizsár Gácsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dénes Elek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Csataszög ETO getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Krisztián Nyilasi hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Iván Szalontai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Tibor Miklós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egri bikák's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Miklós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tibor Miklós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferenc Madarász having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Egri bikák's Csaba Pál got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Tibor Miklós notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Csataszög ETO's Ferenc Madarász. Ferenc Madarász was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Csataszög ETO's Ferenc Madarász played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Vörös in the 40th minute of play. If Norbert Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norbert Vörös stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Csataszög ETO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dénes Elek to maneuver through the defense. Egri bikák's Tibor Miklós came free and shot a quick shot against goal 60 minutes in the game, fortunately Ferenc Madarász had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Norbert Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Csataszög ETO's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Vörös came free, but Ferenc Madarász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tibor Miklós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norbert Vörös hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Tibor Miklós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferenc Madarász having to interfere. Tibor Miklós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Norbert Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Csataszög ETO getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Szabolcs Udvarhelyi hit a great ball. Iván Szalontai charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iván Szalontai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Csataszög ETO got a freekick which was hit by Iván Szalontai. When the match was over Egri bikák could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Csataszög ETO throughout the match.
