Szilárd Dárdai hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Henrik Hajnal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kálmán Nemes's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Mátyás Ónodi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Újvárfalva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mátyás Ónodi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gyula Soltészs short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Péter Erős to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mátyás Ónodi in the 14th minute of play forced Szõd's goalkeeper Péter Erős to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mátyás Ónodi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Péter Erős having to interfere. Gyula Soltész could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Péter Erős made a huge save. Péter Erős stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mátyás Ónodi's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Gyula Soltész got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Kálmán Nemes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Hajnal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Markos took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrik Hajnal. Henrik Hajnal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Mátyás Ónodi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Szõd's Péter Erős got control of the ball when Árpád Szegedi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mátyás Ónodi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Péter Erős was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. If Mátyás Ónodi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gyula Soltész managed to get in a good position for a shot. Újvárfalva's supporters rose to their feet, but Gyula Soltész was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Péter Erős breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mátyás Ónodi to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mátyás Ónodi during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Újvárfalva getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Mátyás Ónodi hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Gyula Soltész shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Erős saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Markos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Henrik Hajnal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Péter Borsó's late challenge caught a Szõd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Péter Borsó helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Újvárfalva got a freekick which was hit by Péter Borsó. Roland Markos struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Henrik Hajnal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szõd. After having played for 71 minutes, Gyula Soltész managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Újvárfalva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gyula Soltész was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 played minutes, Újvárfalva's Tibor Hajdú shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Péter Erős came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Újvárfalva reached it. Péter Erős took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mátyás Ónodi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Kálmán Nemes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Újvárfalva's Henrik Hajnal. Henrik Hajnal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 81 minutes, Lénárd Víg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Újvárfalva and the Szõd players grew even worse after the yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, one of Újvárfalva:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mátyás Ónodi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Péter Erős showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mátyás Ónodi, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gyula Soltész's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Péter Erős read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Szõd's goal looked a bit too open when Mátyás Ónodi came free, but Péter Erős reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Soltész in the 98th minute of play forced Szõd's goalkeeper Péter Erős to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although Újvárfalva had been in control for most of the match, Szõd still came away with the win.
