Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tamás Vida started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute of the match, Tamás Vida tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Levente Lévai saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Sári couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Kuncz in the 32nd minute of play forced SC Anderlecht's goalkeeper Miklós Márton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Anderlecht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lak the free kick. After 38 played minutes SC Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Illés Tokaji. Levente Lévai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamás Vida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Tímár got free with Levente Lévai in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zoltán Kuncz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zoltán Kuncz was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Lak's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Tímár came free, but Levente Lévai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Balázs Gervai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levente Lévai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Levente Lévai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balázs Gervai in the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Balázs Gervai in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levente Lévai saved Lak from getting behind. Miklós Márton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibor Sári, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of SC Anderlecht booed when Lak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Torma didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Anderlecht's Tamás Vida got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
