Zvijerci Vitez's Većeslav Zukić got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Zvijerci Vitez booed when FC Podhum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Cvitanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stjepan Karapandža showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ninoslav Iveković, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Zvijerci Vitez's Stjepan Karapandža played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomo Filković in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes, FC Podhum's Tomo Filković shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stjepan Karapandža came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Podhum reached it. In the 22nd minute Fabijan Fertalj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stjepan Karapandža saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zvijerci Vitez's goalkeeper Stjepan Karapandža, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernard Šerbedžija's late challenge caught a FC Podhum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Bojan Brajko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomo Filković could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Stjepan Karapandža made a huge save. Stjepan Karapandža yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Patrik Cvitanović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stjepan Karapandža having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Miodrag Osmanlić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes FC Podhum got a freekick which was hit by Fabijan Fertalj. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Podhum walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
