Paris Kings's Dove Messmer got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match, Dove Messmer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gage Keng saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gage Keng made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Herbert Bonnafous sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Paris Kings's zone, Grégory Pille stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan Wozniak came out of the goal and Grégory Pille tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grégory Pille recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Amiel in the 26th minute of play forced Nancy's goalkeeper Gage Keng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nancy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Dove Messmer scored to the left of an out of position Gage Keng, making the score, 1-1. The supporters of Paris Kings booed when Nancy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentinos Leontakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Bonnafous fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gage Keng having to interfere. Paris Kings's Dove Messmer got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hakim Desmet was the one to do the kick off. Grégory Pille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronan Wozniak having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Nathanaël Gracia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nancy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathanaël Gracia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florent Choplin charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florent Choplin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nancy's Gage Keng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Bonnafous in the 86th minute of play.
