Sacha Pinard's late challenge caught a Paris Batignolles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Paris Batignolles's Dove Sion ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pierre Casagrande. Pierre Casagrande yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Pierre Casagrande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Leveille in the 40th minute of play. Richard Vareille showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Hénaux in the 42nd minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfried Leveille was the one to do the kick off. When Wilfried Leveille came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Paris Batignolles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Leveille couldn't finish the play. If Mourad Bouchart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Casagrande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mourad Bouchart, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Pierre Casagrande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfried Leveille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Paris Batignolles's Mourad Bouchart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
