Stade Rennais's Paul-Émile Mathelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Boule in the 15th minute of play. Paul-Émile Mathelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Boule, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Paul-Émile Mathelin came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by PSG's Mohamed Boule. But to his dismay, Mohamed Boule quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Lucien Garo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Gameiro Leman sent off a good shot on target. PSG's Lucien Garo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul Coroller in the 32nd minute of play. Paul-Émile Mathelin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Boule in the 38th minute of the match. After the first half PSG were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute, Mohamed Boule fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Stade Rennais booed when PSG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislas Duplessis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Gameiro Leman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Garo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Gameiro Leman made a precise shot to the right of Lucien Garo. PSG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. He was immediately shown a red card. Steven Goasdoue kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Youssef Stalin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PSG's Lucien Garo didn't even have to move. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
