In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fleetwood's goalkeeper Rúnar Benjaminsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amed Davy Sylla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Nolsøe in the 9th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Fleetwood's Alex Nolsøe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amed Davy Sylla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alex Nolsøe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jann Martin Knudsen got free with Amed Davy Sylla in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With splendid footwork Alex Nolsøe arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 31st minute. Amed Davy Sylla didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jákup Stanković managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velbastadur's supporters rose to their feet, but Jákup Stanković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rúnar Benjaminsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jákup Stanković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rúnar Benjaminsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jann Martin Knudsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hanus Debes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Hanus Debes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rúnar Benjaminsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torkil Anghel charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torkil Anghel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fleetwood booed when Velbastadur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torkil Anghel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Fleetwood's Jens Joensen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Atli Midjurd kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Fleetwood's Jens Joensen in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jann Martin Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Jann Martin Knudsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amed Davy Sylla. Velbastadur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jann Martin Knudsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 72 minutes into the match, Velbastadur's goal looked a bit too open when Jann Martin Knudsen came free, but Amed Davy Sylla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Velbastadur defense, Alex Nolsøe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amed Davy Sylla. The Velbastadur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amed Davy Sylla should have stopped the shot. Fleetwood's Alex Nolsøe got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jann Martin Knudsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amed Davy Sylla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Amed Davy Sylla came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Fleetwood's Alex Nolsøe. But to his dismay, Alex Nolsøe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0.
