The referee ignored Ciudad Jardín's protests and gave Liberto Barba a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Liberto Barba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciudad Jardín's Xosepe Verdeja got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rubio Barroso hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Celedonio Crespo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Curcio Zárate. Abundio Guerrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curcio Zárate having to interfere.
