Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nestor Naranjo started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Jose-Luis Tobias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brenes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose-Luis Tobias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patxi Bouzas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Izalzu's goal looked a bit too open when Jusepe Fuentes came free, but Patxi Bouzas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Izalzu getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gartzea Olle hit a great ball. Jose-Luis Tobias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Jose-Luis Tobias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izalzu's Patxi Bouzas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Izalzu's zone, Oton Cienfuegos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patxi Bouzas came out of the goal and Oton Cienfuegos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gartzea Olle fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izalzu's protests and gave Gartzea Olle a yellow card for diving instead. Izalzu's Patxi Bouzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Solano in the 21st minute of play. Patxi Bouzas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose-Luis Tobias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Nestor Naranjo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Juan-Francisco Caminero was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Quinton Estruch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Quinton Estruch really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jose-Luis Tobias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patxi Bouzas having to interfere. Quinton Estruch's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Juan-Francisco Caminero firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silverio Solano during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silverio Solano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubén Etxeberria got free with Juan-Francisco Caminero in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silverio Solano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patxi Bouzas having to interfere. Patxi Bouzas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose-Luis Tobias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose-Luis Tobias made a kick off. Rubén Etxeberria might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan-Francisco Caminero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubén Etxeberria ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Izalzu's zone, Jose-Luis Tobias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patxi Bouzas came out of the goal and Jose-Luis Tobias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose-Luis Tobias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Naranjo in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan-Francisco Caminero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patxi Bouzas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose-Luis Tobias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jose-Luis Tobias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Oton Cienfuegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patxi Bouzas made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Oton Cienfuegos sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Rubén Etxeberria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Francisco Caminero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Solano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Izalzu's goalkeeper Patxi Bouzas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose-Luis Tobias. In the 89th minute, Izalzu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jose-Luis Tobias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Izalzu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brenes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
